A cue sheet is a document listing all of the music used within an individual video production – typically a television program, commercial, infomercial, motion picture or other production that contains multiple musical works. It indicates the details about when and how each piece of music was used in a particular production. Production companies are traditionally responsible for delivering cue sheets to PROs, however any party can submit a cue sheet. In recent times, the industry has seen a rapidly growing number of independent video producers who may not always be aware of the existence, purpose or necessity for cue sheets. AllTrack uses cue sheets to determine who to distribute royalties to, and therefore encourages its creators to notify and educate independent video producers of the importance of filling out and submitting cue sheets.
